North Park Art Walk

The North Park Art Walk takes place annually near Bryn Mawr and Kedzie in Chicago. This video features a few artists and their business cards. It is part of a larger work in process that will explore the relationship between individuals, their entrepreneurial activity and their business card. This video and the Ravenswood Art Walk video also comment on the relationship between artists and their need to employ business strategies and tactics.  Also watch Apple Fest to see some more people and their business cards.

Ravenswood Art Walk Chicago

This video and a few others presented here are part of a work in process designed to explore the visual relationship between individuals, their entrepreneurial activity and their business card. I hope this particular video produced at the Ravenswood Art Walk  also makes a statement about the uneasy relationship between art and commerce.

See Apple Fest also.

Lincoln Square Apple Fest Business Cards

I visited the Lincoln Square Apple Fest in Chicago and asked exhibitors to show me their business cards and tell me a little something about their product or service.  Nice way to enjoy the festival, meet a few area business owners and representatives while getting a glimpse at everyone’s business card. Enjoy the short video.

AR Biz Cards the Future?

What do you know about augmented reality business cards? Is this a glimpse into the future?  Here are a number of video demonstrations I found on YouTube.

In short – – an augmented reality card has a printed target typically printed on the reverse side. When you scan the target with your webcam it displays some sort of 3D (three dimensional) image or simple animation. Consider how this can be used. Is it just a novelty or can you see some practial applications. I’d like to read your comments.

If you are looking for a more in depth explanation of this technology check out this article – – http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/articles/bow_cards.html
